Item Sosyal güvenlik ve halkla ilişkiler(Uludağ Üniversitesi, 1990) Alper, Yusuf; Kaya, Pir Ali; Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü; Çalışma Ekonomisi ve Endüstri İlişkileri BölümüRegardless of age, gender and status, it is not possible to say that social security, which concerns every individual living in the community throughout his life, is known in parallel with its importance for individuals and parties related to social security. In other words, social security has not been sufficiently "recognised" yet. In many respects, social security is developing under a dense fog. Insufficient and even incorrect information of individuals and interested parties about social security, which concerns them very closely, leads to inefficient discussions, misunderstandings and erroneous practices that lead to waste of time and resources. The problem is not one-sided. There are also problems in the perspective and information flow from institutions to individuals and related parties, and these problems can lead to significant loss of rights. At this point, the need for a healthy and adequate exchange of information between social security institutions and individuals and related parties arises, which is within the scope of public relations. In this study, the importance of public relations for the functioning of the social security system will be tried to be emphasized from various angles. In this way, the deficiencies of Turkish social security institutions and especially social insurances will be pointed out, and they will be tried to approach the issue in a way that will compensate these deficiencies. For this purpose, first of all, social security, public relations and public relations in the public sector will be emphasized briefly. Then, the relationship between public relations from different perspectives regarding the functioning of social security systems will be discussed.
