Item Bireysel müşterilerin sanal mağazaları kullanma eğilimlerini açıklarken çevrim içi alışveriş yapma kaygısını daha ne kadar görmezlikten gelebiliriz?(Uludağ Üniversitesi, 2009) Çelik, HakanThe results of previous research have indicated that various anxiety types like fear of damaging the system, apprehension about losing important information and embarrassment due to the exposure of usage incompetency negatively influences the individuals’ mandatory and/or voluntary utilization of the information systems. The additional uncertainty and risk incurred during an online purchase require that online shopping anxiety should be taken into account when explaining the individual customers’ adoption of virtual stores. On the other hand, we don’t have any evidence about how the anxiety factor affects the customers’ beliefs of purchasing from online stores and behavioral intentions to utilize them for the subsequent purchases. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of online shopping anxiety on the customers’ adoption of virtual retail storefronts within Turkish framework. The alternative models reflecting the regarded effects of anxiety has been proposed by extending Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) in accordance with the study purpose. 278 cases were gathered from online shoppers through a web based survey and Partial Least Squares (PLS) technique was used to evaluate the proposed models. The theoretical/practical contributions of the current findings and the implications for the future research were discussed at the end of the study.
