Abstract
Tarsal kemiklerin primer subakut hematojen osteomyeliti (PSHO) nadir olarak görülmektedir. Özellikle çocuklarda aksayarak yürümenin nadir nedenlerinden biridir. Spesifik laboratuvar testlerinin olmaması ve akut osteomiyelitin tipik semptom ve bulgularının görülmemesi nedeniyle tanı koymak zor olup tedavide gecikmeye neden olmaktadır. PSHO’in tedavisinde bugün için hala görüş birliği yoktur.
Primary subacute hematogenous osteomyelitis (PSHO) of tarsal bones are rarely seen. Especially in children, this condition is unusual cause of limping. Because there is no spesific laboratory tests, typical symptoms and signs of acute osteomyelitis, diagnosis is difficult to make and this causes delay in the diagnosis. Today, there is no consensus on the treatment of primary subacute hematogenous osteomyelitis. We have described a child with primary subacute hematogenous osteomyelitis of talus. He was 4.5 years old, and had pain and swelling in his right ankle and limp during 40 days. Diagnosis was made after laboratory, radiological and histopathological examinations and then conservative treatment was applied. Recovery was complete at the eight month.
