Selvi zararlısı Buprestis cupressi Cast. (Coleoptera- Buprestidae)'in Türkiye ve K.K.T.F. Devletinde önemi ve zararları

Abstract

Geniş bir yayılışı olan bu böcek, Türkiye'de selvi ağacının yoğun olmaması nedeniyle epidemi yapmamaktadır. Ancak selvinin ağaçlama alanlarında yoğun olarak kullanıldığı K.K.T.F.D. 'de epidemi yapmakta ve ağaçları kullanılamaz hale getirmektedir. Selvinin rüzgar perdesi ve orman yangınlarında perde olarak kullanılmaya başlaması böceğin tahribatını arttırabilecektir. Bu nedenle biyolojisi ve zararları incelenerek koruma önlemleri üzerinde durulmuştur.This widely spreading insect doesn't cause any epidemics in Turkey because of the lack of places aboundung in cypresses, but it makes trees useless in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus where cypresses are widely used in plantation areas. Along with the start of using cypresses as wind screens and against forest fires damages caused by that insect will probably increase. For this reason, the life cyle and damage of the insect and measures to prevent those damages have been examined in this article.
