Orta öğretim gençliğinin yüksekögretime geçişte karşılaştığı sorunlar

Abstract

Bu tebliğde, ortaöğretim gençliğinin yükseköğrenime geçişte, öncesinde ve sonrasında karşılaştıkları bazı önemli sorunlar ele alınmıştır. Ortaöğretim dönemin de karşılaşılan sorunlar arasında özellikle kitap, öğret men ve ders programları ile sınıf geçmek el veya değerlendirme sistemleri üzerinde durulmuştur. Üniversiteye giriş aşamasında okul ve meslek seçimi ve sınav sistemine ilişkin sorunlar vurgulanmıştır. Son olarak da üniversiteye girişten sonra öğrencilerin ders ve sınav sistemleri ile yeni ekonomik ve sosyal çevreye uyum sorunları ve barınma, beslenme, sağlık, kredi, gelecek endişesi gibi sorunlarına ana hatlarıyla değinilmiştir. Bu sorunlar belirlenirken aynı zamanda bazı çözüm önerilerinin getirilmesine de çalışılmıştır.

This paper deals with the problems of high school students before, during and after their admission to the universities. Firstly the main problems of high school students such as inadequate books, unqualified teachers and inappropriate programs are discussed. Secondly, the common problems of high school students within the system of university entrance exams such as misleading pressures, wrong decisions, incorrect ranking of choices, high expectations and disappointments düe to insufficient knowledge of schools and professions are studied briefly. Thirdly, some of the problems of the first year university students are discussed in general terms. The main ones are summarized as adaptation to new course and test systems, adaptation to the new social and economic environment, fear of future and problems related to boarding, lodging, health and finance. While stating the problems briefly, the author also discussed some recommendations and proposals to solve them.
