Sahnede felsefe: Sartre tiyatrosunun felsefî çerçevesi

Abstract

Bu çalışma, 20. yüzyıl düşüncesinde son derece etkili olan Jean-Paul Sartre felsefesinin, onun tiyatro oyunlarıyla ilişkisi içerisinde ele alınmasını hedeflemektedir. Sartre tiyatrosu, filozofun varoluşçu felsefesinin sahneye taşındığı bir tiyatrodur. Burada karakterler, Sartre felsefesinin temel problemleriyle yüzleşirler. Özgürlük, sorumluluk, insanın kendisini belirlemesi, seçim yapmaya mecbur olan birey ve tüm bunların sebep olduğu kaygı, onun tiyatrosunun merkezinde yer alır. Onun oyun karakterleri, bahsetmiş olduğumuz kavramlar temelinde sınır durumlarını tecrübe eden kişilerdir. Sartre karakterlerinin yaşadığı sınır durumlarına, seyirciyi de ortak etmek ister. Mevcut çalışma da bu kavramlar ışığında Sartre'ın tiyatro oyunlarını inceleyecektir.

This study aims to deal with the philosophy of Jean-Paul Sartre, which is extremely influential in 20th century thought, in relation to his theater plays. Sartre's theater is a place where the existentialist philosophy of Sartre is brought to the stage. Here the characters confront the fundamental problems of Sartre's philosophy. Freedom, responsibility, self-determination, the individual who has to choose, and the anxiety caused by all these are at the center of his theater. Characters of his plays are people who experience extreme situations on the basis of the concepts which we have mentioned. Sartre wants to share these limit situations with the audience. This study will examine Sartre's plays in the light of these concepts.
