Abstract

İnsan ve hayvanların sinir sistemine yerleştikten sonra felçler ve histopatolojik bozukluklar yapan, bulaşıcı ve öldürücü viral bir hastalıktır. Kuduz hastalığı, köpek, kurt, çakal, kedi gibi et yiyenler, at, sığır , koyun keçi gibi ot yiyenler, fare, sıçan, kobay, hamister, sincap, gelincik gibi kemirgenler, yarasa, maymun vs. gibi diğer hayvanlarda görülen ve bu tür hayvanların ısırmalarıyla da insanlara bulaşmaktadır. Virüs, kuduza yakalanmış hayvanların salyalarında bol miktarda bulunduğu için bulaşma ısırma yolundan ayrı olarak vücutta en küçük bir çizik olması halinde salyanın bu açık yaraya teması yoluyla da olmaktadır. Gerek ısırılma gerekse açık yaraya enfekte salyanın temas etmesiyle salyadaki virüsü yara içindeki açılmış sinir uçlarına geçerek sinirlerle vücudun içlerine ve beyine doğru ilerler. Beyine ulaştığı zaman çaresi ortadan kalkan bir hastalık halini alır.It is an infectious and fatal viral disease that causes paralysis and histopathological disorders after it is settled in the nervous system of humans and animals. When the infected saliva comes into contact with either the bite or the open wound, the virus in the saliva passes to the opened nerve endings in the wound and travels with the nerves to the inside of the body and to the brain. When it reaches the brain, it becomes a disease that disappears.
