Abstract
Different Levels of Folic Acid In this study, 240 (daily) hybrobroilers were used. The study was carried out in 3 groups, of which each composed of 80 chickens. Group I and II were experimental groups and the other group was kept as a control. Ration without the addition of folic acid were prepared in a commercial factory: Different amounts of folic acid addition were made to the aforementioned rations. In group / rations contained 50 % less, in group II rations contained 50 % more folic acid compared to the control group of which rations composed of normal amount of folic acid (1.00 mg/kg). When chickens were 40 days old, they were slaughtered and blood samples were collected and plasma seperated. In the examination of plasma samples, Na' and K amounts were determined respectively in the control group as 167.8, 5.37 mEq/1, in the first group as 750.8, 5.04 mEq/l, in the second group as 157.0, 5.32 mEq/l. The plasma level decreases of Na were found statiscally significant (P < 0.05). The total protein were determined in the control group as 3.31 g/100 ml, in the first group as 3.71 g/100 ml, in the second group as 8.16 g/100 ml. When the control group was compared to the II. group this increase was found highly significant statistically (P < 0.01). A significant increase in the amount of Albumin was observed also in the II. group (P < 0.001). The creatinin were determined as 0.021 mg/100 ml, 0.753 mg/100 ml and 0.660 mg/100 ml respectively in the control group of animals, group I and group ll. As it has been reported in the avians, the amounts of bilirubin was found in low levels
