Abstract
Sağlıklı insan-doğa ilişkileri açısından çevre eğitimi, çevre ahlakı, çevre duyarlılığı ve çevre bilincinin önemi tartışılmaz büyüklüktedir. Bu makalenin öncelikli amaçlarının başında çevre bilincinin kavramsal çerçevesini belirlemek, çevre için eğitim ile çevre bilinci arasındaki etkileşimi irdelemek ve çocukların çevre bilinci düzeylerinin yükseltilmesinin gerekçelerini ortaya koymaktır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda bilinç, çevre bilinci ve çevre için eğitim kavramları tanımlanmaya ve irdelenmeye çalışılmıştır. Ayrıca makalede aşağıdaki sorulara yanıt aranmıştır: Niçin çevre bilinci ve çevre için eğitim bu denli büyük bir öneme sahiptirler? Neden çocukların çevre bilinci düzeyi yükseltilmelidir? Çevre bilinci düzeyleri hangi etkenler doğrul t usunda ve nasıl değişmektedir? Eko-bireylerin ve dünya yurttaşların şekillenmesinde çevre bilinci ve çevre için eğitimin işlev ve önemi nedir? Doğa ve insanlık bilinci ile dünya- vatan bilincinin kazandırılması neden çevre için eğitimin bir parçasıdır?
The importance of environmental education, environmental ethics, environmental consciousness and environmental sensitiveness is indisputable for healthy human-nature relationships. The main purposes of this study was to clarify the conceptual reference of environmental consciousness and to investigate the inıcrrelation between education for environmen and envi ronınenıal consciousness and to take attention fort he need of raising children as having higher en vironmental consciousness levels. For these purposes the cancepts of conscious, environmental consciousness and education for environment were defined and the following questions were tried to be answered: "Why environmental consciousness and education for environment are so important?", ''Why do we have to improve the environmental consciousness level of children?", "Which factors effect environmental consciousness and how it differs?", "What is the function and importance of environmental consciousness and education for environmental for modification of ecoindividuals and world citizens?", "Why the improvement of nature-humanity and worldhomeland consciousness is a part of education for environment?"
