İlköğretim öğrencilerinin tarihi çevre bilgisinin değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, tarih ve coğrafyanın eğitimde birleştiği yerde karşımıza çıkan tarihi çevre eğitiminin ve ilköğretim öğrencilerinin sahip oldukları tarihi çevre bilgisinin Bursa ölçeğindeki mevcut durumunun değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Günümüz ilköğretim programları incelendiğinde, tarihi çevre eğitimiyle doğrudan ya da dolaylı olarak ilgili olabilecek konuların Sosyal Bilgiler dersi başta olmak üzere, Vatandaşlık ve İnsan Hakları Eğitimi dersi ve seçmeli Turizm derslerinde bulunduğu görülmektedir. Ancak bu dersler kapsamında tarihi çevre eğitimine yönelik olarak verilen bilgilerin kısıtlı ve öğrencilerde tarihi çevre bilinci oluşturmada yetersiz olduğu göze çarpmaktadır. Araştırmada, öğrencilerin tarihi çevre bilgisini ve tarihi çevrelere yönelik tutumlarını belirlemek için toplam 4 adet ölçme aracı geliştirilmiş ve oluşturulan bu ölçeklerin güvenirliği için Cronbach Alpha Güvenilirlik Katsayıları hesaplanmıştır. Araştırma için oluşturulan ölçeklerin okullardaki uygulaması sonucunda elde edilen verilerin analizi SPSS ile yapılmış ve çeşitli öneriler getirilerek araştırma sonuçlandırılmıştır.

The present study aims to evaluate the current situation of the education of historical environment that is encountered on the point where history and geography merges in education and of the primary school students’ knowledge of historical environment in the context of Bursa. When the current primary school curricula are considered, the topics which are directly or indirectly related to the education of historical environment are found mainly in the Social Studies course, Citizenship and Human Rights course, and elective Tourism course. However, in the context of these courses it is understood that the information given regarding the education of historical environment is limited and insufficient for students to develop awareness of historical environment. In the present study, four different data collection instruments were prepared to identify the students’ knowledge of historical environment and their attitudes towards the historical environments. For the reliability of these instruments (scales) Cronbach Alpha Reliability Coefficients were calculated. The data collected were analysed through SPSS and various implications for teaching were suggested.
