Osmanlı son dönemi müelliflerinden Mahmud Es‘Ad’ın Usûl-İ Hadîs’i

Abstract

Mahmud Es‘ad, Tanzimattan başlayıp Cumhuriyet öncesine uzanan zaman diliminde, batı tesirleri ve uyanış hareketleri bakımından çok önemli bir dönemde yaşamıştır. İslâmî ilimlerin hemen bütün dallarında eser veren Mahmud Es’ad hadis usulüne dair Usul-i Hadis isimli bir kitap kaleme almıştır. Çalışmamız müellifin bu eserinin eleştirel tanıtımına yöneliktir.

Mahmud Es’ad who lived in an important period which continued from Tanzimat to Cumhuriyet wrote a lot of works belonging to Islamic Sciences. One of these works is Usul-i Hadis that deals with the methodology of Prophet’s hadiths. Our essay aims at a critical presentation of this work.
