Sosyal güvenliğin tasarruf eğilimine tesirleri: Ampirik çalışmalar

Abstract

Sosyal güvenliğin tasarruf eğilimine tesirlerini inceleyen teorik görüşlerin birbirine zıt tesirlerin varlığını ortaya koyması, bu sonuçların ampirik çalışmalarla test edilmesi ihtiyacını doğurmuştur. A.B.D. için zaman serileri verilerini kullanılarak yapılan bazı ampirik çalışmalar, sosyal güvenliğin tasarruf eğilimini azalttığını destekler sonuçlar vermesine rağmen, bazı hesaplamalar da tasarruf artırıcı tesirlerin varlığını ortaya koymuştur. Bu belirsizlik konu ile ilgili yeni ve ayrıntılı çalışmaların gerekliliğini de vurgulamaktadır.

Since the theoretical studies concerning the effects of social security system on propensity to save has already proved the existance of contradictory factors, there has been a great necessity to test the results of these studies empirically. A lt hough, some empirical studies using the time-series date for U.S.A., tend to prove that social security systems had decreasing effect on propensity to save there are also some calculations showing the existance of tendeney of social security system to increase the propensity to save. For this, there is a clear evidence that the new theoretical studies are necessary on this subject.
