Abstract
Bu araştırma, hayvan yoğunluğunun Karacabey Merinosu erkek kuzuların besi perfomıansma etkisini belirlemek amacıyla düzenlenmiştir. Yaşlan 140-150 gün arasmda değişen 88 baş Karacabey Merinosu erkek kuzu, 22,27 ve 39 başlık rastgele 3 gruba aynlmıştır. Hayvan başma I. grupta 1.31 m2 , II. grupta 1.07 m2 ve III. grupta 0.74 m2 yer düşmüştür.
This study was made to detennine the elfeel of ihtensity of housing on fattening performance of Karacabey Merino male lambs. 88 Karacabey Merino lambs, between 140-150 days old were assigned to three groups randomly, each were 22,27 aııd 39 head respectively. The average floor per animal in I, II and III groups were 1.31 mı, 1.07 mı and 0.74 mı respectively. The average total and daily live weight gains, concentrate and raughage feeds consumed per kilogram liveweiglıt gain were; 18.22 kg, 207.13 gr, 8.15 kg and 2.67 kg for group I., 17.34 kg, 197.14 g, 8.13 kg and 2.66 kg for group II and 16.57 kg, 188.26 g, 8. 75 kg andn 2.86 kg for group III respectively. It was found no any statistical differences between the average figures obtained from fattening perfomıance of groups. However decreases of total and daily liveweight gains and increase in concentrate and rouglıage consumption per kilogram liveweight were observed according to the intensity of housing increased. It was concluded that, optimum housing floor per lanıb over 35 kg liveweight were between 1.07 - 1.31 mı.
