Çine-Tepecik kazılarında ele geçen Miken seramiğinin Anadolu ve Ege dünyasındaki yeri ve önemi

Abstract

Aydın ilinde, Büyük Menderes'in güney kollarından Çine Çayı kenarında bulunan Çine-Tepecik, hem güneye uzanan doğal yollar üzerinde hem de Çine ovasının batısında, dağ sıraları arasında bulunan konumu ile Batı Anadolu bölgesine has ve bunun yanında Ege bölgesi ile ilişkileri gösteren bir kültürel yapıyı ortaya koymaktadır. Çine-Tepecik, Geç Tunç Çağı kültür tabakasına ait kalıntılar içinde yer alan ve bu tez çalışmasında incelenen bir grup Miken seramiği, form ve motif-bezeme stili açısından, GH IIIB1-GH IIIC dönemlerini içine alan bir kronolojik gelişimi yansıtmaktadır. Çine-Tepecik Miken seramik buluntuları içinde büyük çoğunluğu yerli ve az miktarda ithal özellik gösteren bu kaplar, Miken seramik geleneğinden bilinen belirli kap formu ve motif-bezeme biçimini göstermektedir. Özellikle kaplar üzerinde yer alan motifler, Ege'de Miken kültürü son evreleri ile paralellik göstermektedir. Miken kültürünün son evreleri, Ege coğrafyasında Doğu Ege adaları ve Batı Anadolu'nun kıyı şeridinde takip edilmektedir. Ancak Batı Anadolu kıyı şeridine yakın bir konumda yer alan Çine-Tepecik Miken seramiği buluntuları, bu coğrafi sınırın, Çine-Tepeciği de içine alan bir yayılım alanında irdelenmesi gerektiğini düşündürmektedir.

Çine-Tepecik is located in the province of Aydın, on the western side of the Çine valley and on the edge of Çine River which is the southern branch of the Meander river. It is located on a natural way going to the south and on a natural pass among the mountains. Its position amongst the natural routes is shown in the material culture of the site, which presents both local and Aegean characteristics. Of the Late Bronze Age remains from Çine-Tepecik contain a group of Mycenaen pottery, studied in this thesis, can be dated to the LH IIIB1 to LH IIIC period based on its motif design and pottery typology. Both the locally produced and imported Mycenaen ceramic findings at Çine-Tepecik show characteristic vessel forms and decorative elements of Mycenaean decorated pottery. Especially, the motifs used in the decoration of the vessels look like the later phases of the Mycenaean style and illustrate the decorated pottery tradition of the period. The later phases of Mycenaen culture are significant for the delivery of the culture across a wide area, including the eastern Aegean islands and the coastal region of western Anatolia. The Mycenaean findings from Çine-Tepecik require a re-assessment and an expansion of the Mycenaean cultural impact in this period to contain Çine-Tepecik.
