Resmi ve özel ilköğretim okullarındaki sınıf öğretmenlerinin tükenmişlik düzeylerinin incelenmesi

Abstract

Bu araştırma, resmi ve özel ilköğretim okullarında görev yapan sınıf öğretmenlerinin mesleki tükenmişlik düzeylerinin yaş, cinsiyet, medeni durum, eğitim durumu, mesleki kıdem, okul türü, sınıflardaki ortalama öğrenci sayısı, üstlerinden takdir görme durumu, ücretin yeterliliği, mesleki açıdan verim düzeyini değerlendirme, öğretmenliği isteyerek seçme durumu ve mesleki açıdan manevi doyumu değerlendirme değişkenlerine göre farklılaşıp farklılaşmadığını belirlemek amacıyla yapılmış betimsel bir araştırmadır. Araştırmanın evrenini Bursa merkez ilköğretim birinci kademede görev yapmakta olan sınıf öğretmenleri oluşturmaktadır. Örneklemi ise Bursa ili 3 merkez ilçesinde çalışan toplam 207 sınıf öğretmeni oluşturmaktadır. Bunların 106 tanesi resmi, 101 tanesi de özel okullarda görev yapan sınıf öğretmenleridir. Araştırmada, veriler, iki bölümden oluşan bir anket aracılığı ile toplanmıştır. Anketin ilk bölümü, ankete katılan öğretmenlerin kişisel bilgilerinin yer aldığı Kişisel Bilgi Formu' dur. Anketin ikinci bölümünde ise öğretmenlerin tükenmişlik düzeylerini ölçmek üzere Christina Maslach ve Susan E. Jackson tarafından geliştirilen ve Ergin (1992) tarafından Türkçe'ye uyarlaması yapılan ve 22 sorudan oluşan Maslach ve Jackson Tükenmişlik Envanteri kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada toplanan veriler, SPSS 11.00 paket programı kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. İstatistiksel karşılaştırmalarda karşılaştırma öncesinde verilerin Shapiro-Wilk testiyle normal dağılıma uygunluğu test edilmiştir. Araştırma için frekans (f), yüzde (%), hesaplaması yapılmıştır. Çalışmadaki veriler normal dağılıma uygunluk göstermediği için gruplar arası karşılaştırmalarda, Kruskal-Wallis ve Mann Whitney U testi yapılmıştır. Yapılan analizler sonucunda duygusal tükenmişlik düzeylerinin üstlerinden takdir görme, aldığı ücretten memnun olma, manevi doyum alma durumu, mesleğini isteyerek seçme durumu, meslekte verimliliğine; duyarsızlaşma düzeylerinin üstlerinden takdir görme, manevi doyum alma durumu, mesleğini isteyerek seçme durumu, meslekte verimliliğine; kişisel başarı duygusu düzeylerinin ise yaş, mesleki kıdem, mezuniyet durumu, üstlerinden takdir görme, manevi doyum alma durumu, mesleğini isteyerek seçme durumu, meslekte verimli olma durumlarına göre farklılık gösterdiği saptanmıştır. Cinsiyet, medeni durum, sınıflardaki ortalama öğrenci sayısı ve çalışılan okul türü ile tükenmişlik düzeyleri arasında anlamlı bir farklılık saptanmamıştır.

This research is a descriptive research about teachers who work at state and private schools to identify if their professional fatigue levels differs or not according to their ages, genders, marital statuses, education levels, seniorities, types of schools, the avarage number of students, the appreciation levels from their tops, wage proficiency, assessment of professional perspective efficiency levels, choosing teaching willingly, assessment of professional perspective of spiritual satisfaction.Primary school teachers at the first stage who work in the center of Bursa form the horizon of the investigation. Total 207 primary school teachers who work in three center districts of Bursa form the sample investigation. 106 of them work at state schools and 101 of them work at private schools. Datas in the research were collected through a questionnaire which was formed in two sections. The first part of the queationnaire is a personal information form which consists personal information of the teachers who took part in the survey. In the second section of the questionnaire, to evaluate the level of the fatigue of the teachers, Maslach and Jackson fatigue inventory which consists 22 question and was developed by Christina Maslach and Susan E. Jackson, and which was translated into Turkish by Ergin in 1992 was used. The datas which were collected from the survey, were analyzed by using SPSS 11.00 software package. Convenience of datas to normal distribution was tested by Shapiro-Wilk test before statistical comparisons. For the research, frequency (f) and percentage (%) calculation was done.vIn the comparisons between groups, Kruskal-Wallis and Mann Whitney U test was performed because the datas in the study didn't fit the normal distibution. As a result of the analysis that were done, levels of emotional exhaustion differ according to the appreciation levels from their tops, satisfaction from wages, getting spiritual satisfaction, choosing the job willingly, efficiency in the job. Levels of depersonalization differ according to the appreciation levels from their tops, satisfaction from wages, getting spiritual satisfaction, choosing the job willingly, efficiency in the job. Levels of personal accomplishment differ according to age, seniority, graduation status, the appreciation from their tops, spiritual satisfaction, choosing the job willingly, efficiency in the job. There hasn't been determined any semantic differences between fatigue levels and gender, marital status, the avarege number of students, types of schools.
